Andrey Raichev: It is important who will be appointed as regional governors, and then - what will be Borisov's moves - 1

Personnel appointments are a key factor for the future of the government. It is important to observe who will be appointed as regional governors, and then - what will be Boyko Borisov's moves. Borisov's idea is to keep the government until the summer, after which it will fall. This was stated to BNT by sociologist Andrey Raichev, quoted by news.bg

According to him, it is not correct to compare the current government with the caretaker cabinet. He emphasizes that the current government is trying to normalize the situation in the country.

Raichev draws attention to the fact that politicians are currently avoiding talking about world figures such as Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, and instead focus on the budget and filling financial deficits. According to him, this is a positive trend.

Media expert Assoc. Prof. Georgi Lozanov uses the metaphor of a railway station to describe the political situation in the country. "We are in the waiting room and wondering which train to catch. This government will have a dilemma which train to choose - the one to the Kremlin or the one to Brussels", he commented.

For his part, Assoc. Prof. Lozanov expressed concerns about the future of democracy on a global scale. "The world is being rearranged and democracy is taking a back seat, being replaced by a controlled democracy ruled by autocrats. The three strongest - Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping, will sit at the table and divide everything among themselves. One will take Greenland, the other - Ukraine, the third - Taiwan. After that, we will see what the fate of the Bulgarian government will be and what will happen to formations such as the MRF, PP-DB and "Vazrazhdane"", he explained.

Assoc. Prof. Lozanov emphasizes that at this moment the most important thing is to give the government a chance and to observe in which direction the country will develop. The political map can change drastically, and the risk for PP-DB is real - they can completely disappear from the political landscape, he added.
