Antoaneta Tsoneva: The numbers are what they are. What I don't see is political will

According to Tsoneva, if Borisov wanted a stable majority with the participation of the PP-DB, then the mathematics indicates that it would be 163 deputies. "A majority that would be placed between two cordons - on one side Kostadinov, on the other Peevski. However, Borisov chose to govern with a fragile majority, which makes him a hostage to parties that oppose the eurozone," she further commented

"Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria" will continue to be a constructive opposition regarding the geopolitical direction of the country. The formation has already submitted a bill aimed at increasing revenues in the state budget. This was stated to BNT by the MP from the PP-DB Antoaneta Tsoneva, quoted by news.bg.

"The job of the opposition is to offer an alternative to the government's decisions," she pointed out. According to her, the draft budget must be submitted by February 14 to make it clear whether the state's accounts have been made correctly.

According to Tsoneva, the budget deficit, announced at 3%, is a fact, but the Ministry of Finance expresses doubts. At the same time, the BNB confirms that Bulgaria meets the conditions for price stability, and the situation is expected to stabilize next month. "The numbers are what they are. What I don't see is political will", Tsoneva is categorical.

She criticized GERB for allowing "Vazrazhdane" to dominate the parliament and to lead an anti-campaign against the introduction of the euro. GERB has no arguments to enter an anti-coalition for the euro, but they are letting an anti-European party lead a campaign. We clearly see a parliamentary coalition between GERB and "Vazrazhdane", the MP said.

According to Tsoneva, if Boyko Borisov wanted a stable majority with the participation of PP-DB, then the mathematics indicates that it would be 163 MPs. "A majority that would be placed between two cordons - on one side Kostadinov, on the other Peevski. However, Borisov chose to govern with a fragile majority, which makes him a hostage of parties that oppose the eurozone. This is his responsibility," the PP-DB MP emphasized.

Regarding the "Peppi Euro" case, Tsoneva pointed out that civil initiatives cannot establish facts and circumstances that are not of interest to the judicial authorities. The case shows the low efficiency of the institutions, and we want this to become clear, she added.
