The death toll from a Philadelphia medical plane crash is rising. The number of victims has now reached seven, AFP reports, quoted by NOVA.
A man died in his car when the aircraft carrying six Mexicans, including a child, fell on his car. Another 19 people were injured.
The plane crashed 30 seconds after taking off from the airport in Northeast Philadelphia, NBC reported. It gained an altitude of 500 meters. The tower asked the pilots to make a right turn and head on their course. Then something went wrong. The plane failed to perform the maneuver and began to fall at a sharp angle to the ground at 200 kilometers per hour, according to air traffic control data cited by American media.
President Donald Trump wrote on social media that it was "so sad to see a plane crash in Philadelphia. "More innocent lives have been lost," the American president added.
The damage caused by the explosion affected several streets. This incident occurred two days after a collision in Washington between a passenger plane and a military helicopter. The air disaster, the deadliest in the United States in more than 20 years, killed 67 people.
