Ninova: For the third month, there has not been a single law passed by this parliament - 1

„This is the worst option - a fake parliament, elected with falsifications and a government born in lies to all voters: BSP lied to theirs - from „never with GERB“ to an embrace with GERB, ITN - theirs, Borisov lied to GERB - „neither with one nor the other DPS“, and finally he leaned on Dogan's golden finger, and Peevski is in his cabinet through proxy persons. For the third month, there has not been a single law passed by this parliament, there is no budget, there is no Recovery and Sustainability Plan. There is nothing - only scandals and agreements in the cabinets for posts. No effect for the people“.
This was said by Cornelia Ninova in the program “Interview in full face“ on Eurocom TV. Asked about the budget, she described it as chaos, a discrepancy in facts and figures, politicking, nothing meaningful as a proposal for a way out of the situation.
Regarding the eurozone, she pointed out: “Both the economic and financial indicators do not meet the requirements for the eurozone and it is better to postpone the convergence report and the application to the Eurozone. Both the economy and people's incomes will suffer. Now is not the time“.
Cornelia Ninova emphasized: “There are 3 things to solve: The first is the economy. We need a very clear and specific economic plan. Here, one of the major employers' organizations - AIKB, confirmed what I have been saying for a long time, they said that part of the Bulgarian economy is already in recession. Businesses are closing, people are left on the streets, investors are leaving - yesterday a large enterprise from Tarnovo moved to Romania, last week a company in Stara Zagora closed down. They must do everything possible to stabilize the economy and ensure growth, because that is where the money for social policy, health, and education comes from.
The second question is prices: “They continue to grow. Today they have asked for an increase again - by 2 leva, in the price of natural gas from February 1, from January 1 - electricity has increased, the price of bread, local taxes and fees, gas - everything has gone up. There must be a reaction to prices. I have been pleading for a long time and now I also see it as a possible measure - a ceiling on prices for certain goods. They have always opposed me that this is very left-wing, that it is socialist, retro. But, real life, even in recent days, shows that European countries with right-wing governments are also implementing this measure. Some time ago, they implemented it in France, Mitsotakis in Greece, now Croatia is increasing the number of goods, the prices of which are under control. I think this should be done to help people“, pointed out Cornelia Ninova.
Thirdly, she emphasized income: “It is extremely cynical to say that pensioners and increased salaries of workers are to blame for the hole in the budget“, Ninova reacted, pointing out: “In Bulgaria, 11.3% of GDP is allocated for pensions. And we are the poorest country. And in Europe, 13% of GDP is allocated, where they produce much more GDP than us. Pensions are inadequate for life – 800,000 pensioners live below the poverty line. And in parliament they have the cynicism to say - pensioners are to blame for the holes in the budget“.
Asked about the case of the increase in salaries in the administration: “There are administrative units that have very low salaries. But there are those where they make crazy spending“, Ninova pointed out and gave examples: “Do you know that the new Council of Ministers has increased its salaries by 30%, the Supreme Judicial Council has given itself bonuses of 4 million leva. They elect a prosecutor general, remove a prosecutor general, elect him again, and for this “job well done” bonuses of 4 million. They ordered cars in the Supreme Judicial Council each of 100 thousand leva. At the end of last year, the National Assembly placed an order for 70 new cars for deputies. And we come to the salaries of the members of parliament: the salaries of another 300-400 people in the country in high positions depend on the salaries of the members of parliament - these are the president, prime minister, KEVR, KRC, etc.,“, Ninova pointed out.
You appeal to cut expenses, that it is a huge problem in the country, that there is no money - only that the deputies' salaries and the derivatives of these salaries automatically increase every 3 months. Where in the world, in which sector does your salary automatically increase every 3 months. These savings that they would make will not solve the problems in the country, because 18 billion is a large deficit. But there is some moral empathy when you want to cut from pensioners, young people, children“, commented Cornelia Ninova and added:
I know, they will say – now it is easy for Cornelia Ninova, she is angry that she is not in parliament, that is why she speaks like that. I have not said it before: I have the moral right today to speak like that and to make demands on these people in parliament, elected through fake elections, hypocritical, thinking only of themselves“, said the leader who announced the creation of a new political party, specifically indicating:
“Perhaps I am the only minister who forbade giving additional material incentives to his political cabinet – you know, every 3 months the administration gives DMS. I gathered them and said: Neither I nor you will take it – this money that is allocated for us, we will redistribute it to the workers. I did not get into an NSO car, I had threats to my life twice, the head of the NSO came to my office and said: I have to. I refused. Four times I introduced the law to freeze and reduce the salaries of MPs. And this is not populism, there are all sorts of arguments and examples from other countries. I have given a personal example. And that is why I am saying now that what is happening is demagogy, hypocrisy, an attempt to push the entire crisis onto the people, especially the most vulnerable, while the political class and the elite live their lives with high salaries and new cars“.
In political conversation: “The pressure for a coalition with the BSP by Borisov began in 2017, he tried to buy me off with a post so that I would betray both the party and the voters. Pressure from outside followed - from the PES and the EPP, he raised an internal opposition. For me, this is a grave betrayal. I did not commit it. Today they call this betrayal a compromise. No, it's not a compromise - it's a lie and betrayal in the name of a clientele that needs to be settled with posts and money“, recalled Kornelia Ninova.
„I am amazed by Social Minister Gutsanov: The first problem that arose was with the social service for assistant assistance - elderly people, people with disabilities, sick children threatened with being left without personal assistants. Okay, you betrayed everyone in order to become a minister. However, instead of dealing with this first, this issue is burning under your feet - you are a social minister, you supposedly come from a social, left-wing party, you first sign an order for all public procurement before they are allowed to pass through you for personal approval. That is. "You want to seize public procurement, financial flows, companies with public procurement, and people with disabilities, the sick and the elderly should think about it," Ninova responded.
Asked about "Lukoil", Cornelia Ninova said: "I believe that not only "Lukoil", but also the important infrastructure for the state, such as energy, railway transport, should be state property and state care. There are a number of European examples in this regard. If there is political will - money can be found through state-guaranteed loans, for example, with the profit that "Lukoil" makes, they will be quickly repaid. This is a strategic issue for the state, an important economic entity for energy, for national security. It would be a good move if they did it."
Ninova argued: "I fought when CEZ was being sold for the state to intervene and buy it. It didn't happen - Borisov sharply retorted to me then. And what happened this year - the first snow fell and half of Bulgaria was left without electricity. This was supposed to be a state-owned company, with a state commitment to the people“.
“The cabinet will not have a long life“, she predicted. “They will quarrel quickly“. And she recalled Borisov's actions so far: “He takes one party, destroys it, throws it out and continues, history has shown it, that's how both the BSP and the ITN will go, unfortunately. He will move towards floating majorities. Which means instability and uncertainty. I say this to those who believe that having a regular government will bring stability. On the contrary. This government will not solve the crises, it will deepen them“, Ninova pointed out.
She was categorical: “This betrayal will have a very serious impact, many people are leaving, they are disappointed, they no longer want to vote for the BSP. I say this with great regret, because I have been fighting this battle for 8 years. For 8 years they wanted this from me: to betray these people, to betray the party, to give me some post – Speaker of the National Assembly, MEP, ambassador, wherever I want. I did not do it and I am proud of that, no matter how difficult it was“, pointed out the leader of “Unruly Bulgaria“.
“These people betrayed the people today – for a few posts and money. A hard fate and a bad result await them in the next elections. Unfortunately, the large left-wing coalition has already collapsed, Tatyana Doncheva, Velizar Enchev, the MIR party have left, Maya Manolova is wondering, probably until they give her some post. It turned out that this large left-wing coalition was only to serve the clientele that Borisov brought to him“, said Kornelia Ninova in response to questions.
For “Unruly Bulgaria“: “Our goal is to gather a people's party – center-left, people who really want what is happening in Bulgaria to finally end: the deep state that has conquered everything, the backstage. Because, after 35 years of transition and suffering, we have a Borisov government, behind which Peevski is peeking, with Dogan's golden finger, BSP and ITN are some crutches that are running around and waiting for a knuckle to be thrown at them. Is this the future? We want a different future – a fair state, finally an orderly justice system, a developed economy, social systems, education, which is truly education and good healthcare. Yesterday I met with many doctors, with great ideas for the development of our healthcare system, they are helping me with the program of the new party. There are many sensible, honorable people who do not want this deep state and the backstage, and who are ready to help us make a good project “Unruly Bulgaria”, was categorical Kornelia Ninova.
