The machine vote should become 100 percent, said at a press conference at the BTA National Press Club in Pleven, the co-chair of "We Continue the Change" Kiril Petkov. Among the topics that were commented on were the election rules, the water shortage, the priorities of Pleven, the road connectivity of the city and the region and the current capital program of the Municipality. The press conference was also attended by MPs Bogdan Bogdanov and Ivaylo Shotev, Deputy Regional Governor Violeta Ieremieva and municipal councilors Natalia Tsaneva and Lyudmil Sofroniev.
In the last elections, several hundred votes were stolen. I believe that an entire party currently exists in parliament because of the stolen vote. If we turn a blind eye, we are giving up on democracy, commented Petkov. We propose to return the machines in two stages. In the first stage, we should return the old machines that will eliminate falsifications with paper votes. We are also ready to talk about machines that are scanners. I hope to gather a majority for this, he added.
Regarding the water shortage, Petkov commented that it is shocking that in such an important regional city as Pleven there is no water in certain months. How can we attract investors if we tell them that there is no water in this city in the summer, he asked and expressed surprise that Pleven is not investing in the water supply network. According to him, the city should have a sports hall, but the funds should be used through transparent procedures. MP Bogdan Bogdanov commented that according to the project, the sports hall will be one of the most expensive, with a price of nearly 4800 leva per sq. meter, which, according to him, is overstated by 40-50%.
