A serious accident occurred on the E-79 between Montana and Vratsa, BulNews reported. A BMW driven by a woman was leaving Montana when, right at the curb, she started to overtake a truck moving in front of her. The driver did not see the truck coming from the opposite direction and crashed into it head-on.
The impact between the two vehicles was so strong that the Bavarian's engine flew out onto the road. The truck is also badly bent in the front.
The accident injured the man who was driving the BMW, as well as the two boys who were traveling with the truck.
Witnesses to the serious accident called 112 and emergency teams, the fire department, and police are already at the scene.
Due to the traffic accident, traffic in the area has been temporarily suspended, with huge queues of waiting cars already forming in both directions.
The road will most likely remain closed until the crashed cars are removed and the road cleared.
