By refusing to deal with these things, Borisov shows some favor to both APS and Vazrazhdane. Peevski is affected. This was said in "Face to Face" on bTV by political scientist Parvan Simeonov, quoted by novini.bg. Earlier today, thanks to GERB, the item on the removal of immunities of six deputies from Ahmed Dogan's formation and Vazrazhdane was dropped in the National Assembly.
There is no change in GERB's position on immunities. If you ask people, however, almost everyone would support lifting the immunities, as there has been a huge distrust of the political class for decades, said political scientist Dimitar Ganev.
Parvan Simeonov also commented on the resignation of the Speaker of Parliament Natalia Kiselova, demanded by "Democratic Bulgaria".
Kiselova still has a somewhat small chance to realize the political luck that comes with the weight of the position she holds. One more reckless act, and... it's never too late to become a laughing stock, Simeonov pointed out.
In order to achieve Kiselova's resignation, there must be preliminary talks with the BSP, because this could lead to a very serious shake-up. The BSP has no interest in leaving this ruling majority. The issue here is deeper, because the overthrow of Kiselova is the overthrow of a potential caretaker prime minister, Ganev noted.
Peevski is right that this parliament does nothing. Apart from votes of no confidence and hearings, nothing happens. And the parliament should have a legislative function, this cannot turn into sitting around just because of the eurozone. This is not a priority that the mass Bulgarian understands, said Parvan Simeonov.
The government sets entry into the eurozone as a priority, but I do not see a detailed information campaign on this issue. Public attitudes cannot be turned around in 2-3 weeks. A serious campaign should have been launched years ago, emphasized Dimitar Ganev.
If we enter the eurozone, this will be a milestone on which the ruling party can gain a foothold in order to move forward. The question is whether at some point Borisov will get fed up or Peevski will get fed up. Peevski is working very energetically and tomorrow he could turn out to be the main political force in the country, Simeonov added.
According to Ganev, none of the main parties is interested in new elections.
