It is expected that the safety measures in railway transport will be presented today, BNT reported.
This will be done by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov and the management of "BDZ Holding", NRIC and EA "Railway Administration".
After taking office, the Minister of Transport ordered the companies to conduct an analysis of the security system in railway transport and to propose measures to improve the safety of transport with Bulgarian railways.
Back in March, Minister Karadjov announced that short-term and long-term measures for safe movement in railway transport are planned. Installing cameras in each locomotive, train and railway stations is one of the measures.
Among the other proposals are also: improving the GPS system for controlling the speed of trains, which will notify carriers and train dispatchers of speeding.
The introduction of a ban on movement in sections where there is no working security equipment is also being considered. Long-term measures envisage solving the problem with the educational and qualification level of personnel in key professions for railway transport.
