For me, the transport crisis in the capital was an artificial one. It was raised by the unions in 4 commercial companies. The unions were artificially raised to strike, to protest for something that they know very well that there is no way it can happen. It is about money, of course. But this money is limited in the budget of the Sofia Municipality when the budget was adopted. We did not see them protesting then. We also did not see the unions being active when they changed the directors and boards of directors in the four commercial enterprises - in the Metropolitan, in Urban Mobility, in Electric Transport and in Motor Transport. Where were the unions - they did not protest during these actions. The adoption of the budget and the election of directors and boards of directors was carried out by the so-called “economic majority“ in this Municipal Council. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the “FACTI“ studio and the “Conversation“ program by arch. Violeta Komitova, MP from the MECH party.
“I have many remarks towards Vasil Terziev as mayor, because he still cannot fully enter into his role as mayor, cannot communicate with citizens, does not listen to what is said to him. The demands of these 7,000 people were not properly addressed to Mayor Terziev, because he cannot change the budget without the Sofia Municipal Council, nor can he change the boards of directors of these four commercial enterprises. I also had a very bad impression that the directors of these companies hid and did not come out to the public to say what their problems were – are they organizational, problems with the equipment do they have, is their equipment old... We didn't see them and the whole blow fell on Terziev, because this was a political attack, in which on top of everything the government also got involved, in order to find a “savior“ in the person of Borisov, who ordered Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova to provide money. And just as she refused on the second day of the protest, so she suddenly found one“, added Komitova.
