The government approved additional capital expenditures under the budget of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for 2025.
The funds, in the amount of 2,933,745 leva, will be provided to the State Aviation Operator for the overhaul of the Falcon 2000 LZ OOI aircraft, the government press service announced, BGNES reported.
The Falcon 2000 LZ-OOI aircraft was manufactured in 2001. According to the manufacturer's requirements, a mandatory overhaul must be carried out on the 24th year of operation.
Failure to perform maintenance leads to the loss of airworthiness of the aircraft and its suspension from operation.
