The Ministry of Finance has transferred 4.7 million leva to the budgets of municipalities to compensate parents of children not accepted into nurseries and kindergartens, the institution announced, specifying that the transfer was ordered on May 15 this year.
The funds paid for compensation for the months of January and February are based on applications submitted by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health.
When the two institutions provide information for the months of March and April, the Ministry of Finance will promptly process the applications and transfer the amounts due to the municipalities within the legal deadline, the institution specified.
In total, over 27 million leva for the year, recorded in the budget, are for compensation for children not accepted into nurseries and kindergartens.
