"Petrohan" is being closed to clean up dangerous trees. Traffic through the pass will be restricted tomorrow and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are certain detour routes.
Due to the icing in December on "Petrohan", there are still fallen and broken trees near the road. Dangerous trees were removed from the pass at the end of April, now it is necessary to close "Petrohan" once again, explained the regional governor of Montana Kalin Haitov:
"There are still 20-30% of the marked trees that have not been removed. The ditches will be cleared.
Tomorrow and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., traffic through "Petrohan" in both directions will be stopped.
There will be police teams at the roundabout at the Montana exit in the direction of "Petrohan" and at the village of Barziya, on the very approach to the pass. While the dangerous trees on "Petrohan" are being removed, drivers will be able to use detour routes through Vratsa and Krapchene and the road through Dolna and Gorna Byala Rechka, Varshets municipality.
