Workers in the capital's public transport will not be disciplinary punished for the six days of civil disobedience, during which ground transport was suspended. This was announced by the management of the two companies in a statement, BNR reports.
According to the management, no violations of labor discipline have been established.
In information requested by law, the capital's "Autotransport" indicates that no culpable violations of labor discipline were established in the days from May 14 to 19.
Drivers, service workers, dispatchers, administration employees who were scheduled to work were at their workplaces during the established working hours, and there are no signals of absence without valid reasons. At the same time, the approaches and exits of the garages were blocked by unidentified individuals, including "well-known activists and trade unionists".
The inability of the buses to leave the garages due to the blocking of the exits by other people who are not at work on the relevant days, and some of them do not work in the company at all, is the only reason for the failure to complete the assigned routes on the mass urban transport lines, the management states.
The capital"Electrotransport" gives a similar explanation, according to which the drivers, scheduled for these six days, were at their workplaces, but were prevented from leaving the depots due to a "protest action" and "civil disobedience".
The Metropolitan Police warned that due to protests, part of the traffic in Sofia may be closed today at noon.
