60,000 fourth-graders sit for the National Mathematics Exam  - 1

Nearly 60,000 fourth-graders are taking the National External Mathematics Exam, NOVA reported.

The exam will start at 10:00 a.m. Students will demonstrate knowledge of numbers, calculation skills and finding an unknown number. There will also be tasks to describe real-world situations with mathematical models, as well as those requiring logical and spatial thinking skills.

For 60 minutes, students will solve a test with 25 tasks - 16 with a multiple-choice answer, 4 with a short free answer, 4 with an extended free answer and one task with an extended free answer containing three sub-conditions.

The maximum number of points is 100 on each of the exams, and the results will be announced by June 12.

Yesterday, fourth-graders took the national external assessment in Bulgarian.
