I don't see any risks with the euro. People have nothing to worry about. We certainly shouldn't thank Asen Vassilev for our entry into the eurozone. We should thank the people who removed him from the post of Finance Minister. Then we had double-digit inflation because of his budgets. If he had been in power, we would never have entered the eurozone. This was stated by the chairman of the budget committee in parliament and member of the Executive Committee of GERB Delyan Dobrev in the show “More from the day“ on BNT.
According to him, there are forces in Bulgaria that do not want us to be in the eurozone.
He commented on the accusations of corruption and dependencies as follows: “Corruption in 2023, when the “Continuing Change“ (PP) ruled together with Asen Vassilev, was record“.
“I hope that the pro-Russian parties together with the PP will not form a cabinet. I count on the DB not to support them. Their actions are in sync. Today Venko Sabrutev proposed a bill that could bankrupt our banking system“, said Delyan Dobrev.
“Everyone thinks that after July 8 everything is irreversible, but this is not the case. If the government falls and a government comes in that says it does not want the euro from January 1, it will not be accepted“, he warned.
“It is very easy to talk about dependencies, but where is the evidence? The price of electricity is not determined by Hristo Kovachki or Boyko Borisov, but by the energy exchange. The prices of heating are determined by the regulator“, Dobrev explained.
