Both household electricity and heating will increase in price by nearly 5 percent on average for the country from July 1. This is proposed by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission.
The largest increase in electricity is planned for EVN subscribers in Southeast Bulgaria - by nearly six percent. For heating and hot water, the increase is from 1 percent in Varna to 5 percent, which is the increase for most district heating companies, including in the capital, where the price is one of the highest. Razgrad will pay the most for the service - 138 leva per megawatt-hour. Heating for consumers in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Veliko Tarnovo will also cost over 130 leva per megawatt-hour.
For individual district heating companies, the amendment proposed by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission from July 1 this year is as follows:
► for "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" EAD – change in the current price by 5.43%, with an increase of 23.82% requested by the company;
► for "EVN Bulgaria Toplofikatsiya" EAD - change in the current price by 5.18%, with an increase of 10.98% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya Pleven" EAD - change in the current price by 4.00%, with an increase of 21.58% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya Burgas" EAD - change in the current price by 4.99%, with an increase of 36.39% requested by the company;
► for "Veolia Energy Varna" EAD - change in the current price by 1.00%, with a reduction of 2.56% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya Vratsa" EAD - change in the current price by 4.90%, with an increase of 66.28% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya VT" AD - change in the current price by 5.00%, with an increase of 92.38% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya Razgrad" EAD - change in the current price by 5.37%, with an increase of 17.50% requested by the company;
► for "Yuliko-Evrotrade" EOOD - change in the current price by 3.00%, with an increase of 15.64% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya Ruse" AD - change in the current price by 5.03%, with an increase of 31.35% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya Pernik" EAD - change in the current price by 4.99%, with an increase of 24.31% requested by the company;
► for "Toplofikatsiya Sliven" EAD - change in the current price by 5.11%, with an increase of 48.46% requested by the company;
The energy regulator will make a final decision at the end of the month.
