Today, numerous reports of an unpleasant smell were filed in Burgas, BTV reported.
The smell was felt in the lunch hours, especially in the central districts and along the coastal promenade.
Again, the automatic air quality measuring stations did not register any exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations of controlled pollutants.
The Director of the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water (RIOSV) - Burgas Pavel Marinov pointed out that the case is similar to last summer. It is assumed that the source of the smell is the ships that are on the roadstead at sea, but the inspection does not have the authority to check.
The Burgas port explained that no cargo is being processed on site that would generate such a smell.
