There are many occasions for a vote of no confidence, we will agree with our colleagues from the Bulgarian National Assembly when and what the topic should be. This was commented on BNT by Nikolay Denkov from the Bulgarian National Assembly.
According to him, Boyko Borisov has been extremely transparent with his words and demands.
"He said that because Bulgaria is entering the eurozone, by the end of 2026, we want peace. When you look at what peace is in question, your hair may stand on end – and about what is happening in the Ministry of Interior, and what is happening with road construction with the inflated prices, and what is happening in the energy sector.", commented Nikolay Denkov from PP-DB.
In this regard, he indicated that they have calculated that from July 1 last year to July 1 this year, an increase of over 15% in the price of electricity is expected.
"They keep telling us, no, there will be no increase, and at the same time we see a little less that we are talking about serious increases", Denkov indicated.
He explained that there are many occasions and reasons to request a vote of no confidence in the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet.
„There are many occasions and reasons to request a vote of no confidence. Of course, for us the eurozone is a top priority, we have said it many times, it was a priority in my government, along with Schengen, so we will not hinder Bulgaria's accession, but we cannot close our eyes to these practices, which ultimately hinder Bulgarian citizens and Bulgarian business", he said.
Nikolay Denkov commented that there is no intrigue between the PP and the DB and their colleagues fully share their concerns about the internal policy of this government.
„The conversation with the DB will be what the topic will be and when the deadline will be and I am sure that we will shake hands and act together. This is the right way, but of course, our political opponents are trying to create a big intrigue from these small tactical differences. There is none“, explained Nikolay Denkov.
From his words it became clear that after they agree with their colleagues from the DB when it is appropriate to hold the vote of no confidence, they will seek support from other parties.
Denkov commented that this government can only fall at the request of Peevski or Borisov. He categorically rejected that they would seek Delyan Peevski's support for the vote.
“Everyone in politics knows that Borisov weighs his decisions until the last moment and changes them at the last moment. He looks around, public opinion, comments, what his advisors will tell him and keeps all options open. I tell him once again that we will not allow him to divert us from the eurozone, no matter what nonsense he talks“, said Denkov.
Denkov also commented on the postponed report on the Republic of North Macedonia. According to him, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia has made two gross mistakes – he extracted quotes from a report before it was officially released and tried to insert the story into the relevant discussion.
