The prosecutor's son Vasil Mihaylov made a statement on the Internet while the police throughout the country are on the lookout for him. A few days ago he was declared a statewide wanted man.
Mihaylov, who was convicted in the first instance, denied the latest charges against him and accused the investigators of bias.
The video was published this afternoon on YouTube, and the prosecutor's son spoke for 27 minutes. He also commented on the incident of June 12, for which he was brought as a defendant for coercion, threats of murder and causing moderate bodily harm to a 31-year-old man from Pernik. He told his version.
Vasil Mihaylov's phone was turned off today.
BTV also contacted his father Biser Mihaylov for comment. He stated to the media that he does not know where his son is - he has not been in contact with him for more than 3 years, so he is commenting on the video only as a lawyer.
“As a prosecutor with 30 years of experience, if I have a case in front of me and I am a supervising prosecutor in such pre-trial proceedings, and such a video appeared in the public domain, which already has so many views, I would check the allegations and facts that emerge from this statement“, commented Biser Mihaylov.
The Ministry of Interior is not revealing details about the search.
The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office also did not comment on the video, but stated that the search for Mihaylov continues.
It is not clear from the video where it was filmed. In the clip, Mihaylov also did not reveal details about where he is hiding.
