Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov is calling an emergency meeting at the Sofia airport, BNT reported.
The reason is a scandalous incident from Friday evening, when 300 passengers on a flight from London were stranded for nearly an hour in one of the airport's terminals. The reason - they were entering from "third countries" and had to wait for border control. The meeting will be held at Terminal 2.
The meeting will be attended by the management of the General Directorate of the Civil Aviation Administration, the Executive Director of SOF Connect, representatives of the Customs Agency, the Border Police, as well as all ground operators responsible for servicing incoming flights from third countries. Each of the units must present to Minister Karadjov a variant for better organization for passengers.
