With the height of the summer season, the prices for beach services on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are again causing discussions among tourists. According to current information from concessionaires and data from social networks, the price for a family can reach 30 leva per day just for an umbrella and sun loungers.
The most expensive beach vacation is offered by the resort of Sveti Vlas, where the full set of an umbrella and two sun loungers costs 30 leva per day. This makes shade one of the biggest expenses for a family vacation at the sea, according to dunavmost.com.
In the resort of "St. Constantine and Helena" the standard price for an umbrella is 10 leva, and for a sun lounger - the same. This means a minimum of 20 leva for basic comfort under the sun.
Pomorie offers a more detailed tariff - an umbrella costs 10 leva, a sunbed 8 leva, and an additional mattress costs another 2 leva. Some places also offer a table for an additional 1 leva, which can bring the total to 21 leva.
In Varna, prices are within the familiar limits - 10 leva for an umbrella and the same for a sunbed, making a total of 20 leva for a set.
Burgas continues to offer the most affordable options for sunbathing. Prices vary depending on the specific beach, but you can still find places with tariffs around 10 leva for an umbrella and sunbed together.
A particularly advantageous solution is offered by the "Gradina" campsite with a fixed price of 24 leva for a set including an umbrella and two sun loungers.
The high prices are forcing many Bulgarians to plan their vacation "with a calculator in hand". More and more families are turning to alternatives such as carrying their own umbrella or choosing quieter, unguarded beaches.
Earlier this month, concessionaire Kiril Spasov told Bulgarian National Radio that prices in the popular resorts of Sozopol and "Sunny Beach" would vary between 7 and 10 leva per piece. However, the check shows that the actual costs for a day at the beach in some places significantly exceed these forecasts.
