Today, privatization is associated with some negative assessments, all people have a very different attitude and look at the privatization that has passed, as a sale of state assets, factories, etc. We also went through bank bankruptcies in order to hide loans. This is a fact. These are not fabrications. I think there should be a balance between private and state ownership, because then the state is in a better condition. Agriculture - it is 100% private. We closed the Tekezezeta 100% and today we eat rubber tomatoes, imported from Turkey, treated with preparations banned in the EU. Cucumbers, cheese, milk, meat are all imported - this is the result of 100% private farming. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the studio “FACTI“ and the show “Razgovor“ by architect Violeta Komitova, MP from the MECH party.

“Five or six years ago, Mrs. Temenuzhka Petkova was the Minister of Energy and introduced the energy exchange. Back then, she said that we would be able to change our electricity suppliers, we would have the right to choose a supplier. What happened? Electricity in 2021 became 1,000 leva for businesses and the state paid for everything over 200 leva. The state will also pay for electricity for citizens when we move to the liberalized market. Here, we have another failure of a private management of the stock exchange, because we do not get a price reduction, we do not get a competitive market“, she also shared.

“Kremikovtsi“ we privatized it, we gave the water, the stones, the minerals, the airports, the beaches, etc. on concession. From all the concessions, the state receives 200 million in revenue annually. This is almost a negative result for me, after we have given all our underground resources, built airports and ports, plus the beaches. Concessions are another form of privatization, because state strategic infrastructure is given for 50 years and the state receives some pennies. We will categorically demand from the MECH party a review of the concessions. If they cannot be reviewed, their fees must be increased. "With this inflation, with these prices, the state receiving only 200 million is ridiculous," Komitova also shared.
