Svilenski: I can't understand how long they will play with the nerves of Bulgarian society, because people are already on the streets

"Today, 250,000 people are without water, fires are burning all over Bulgaria, firefighters are exhausted. And what is the parliament doing? It is silent. Neither an extraordinary session is being convened, nor is anyone inviting the Minister of the Interior to give an explanation. Wheat is burning, sunflower fields are burning - and no one is talking about the harvest," Svilenski also commented

Svilenski: I can't understand how long they will play with the nerves of Bulgarian society, because people are already on the streets - 1

„Over the last 7-8 months, all the hopes of left-wing and centrist voters have been shattered. The real left can now be sought in parties outside the parliament. This is precisely what „Unruly Bulgaria“ is - the alternative, the future and the hope for a fair, social and European path for Bulgaria“. This was stated by Georgi Svilenski, a member of the leadership of „Unruly Bulgaria“ on the air of Eurocom TV.

He sharply criticized the government for the lack of reaction to the problems with the water crisis and the fires. “Today, 250,000 people are without water, fires are burning all over Bulgaria, firefighters are exhausted. And what is the parliament doing? It is silent. Neither an extraordinary session is being convened, nor is anyone inviting the Minister of the Interior to give an explanation. Wheat is burning, sunflower fields are burning - and no one is talking about the harvest“.

Regarding the protests of doctors and students, Svilenski said:

“There should have been an increase in the salaries of medical workers. They have introduced some bill, but the problem is much bigger - we need to talk about the structure of healthcare, about hospitals not being commercial companies. The solution to the problem will come from there. Now, when you write down some salaries that commercial companies have to pay these young specialists, and they can't earn them, where will the money come from? Again, there's no thinking. Students are protesting, but the government doesn't care. And against the backdrop of all this, the BSP declares that they will be the left pillar in government. So, where is this pillar?“

Asked about the behavior of the opposition, Svilenski replied: “I know what it's like to be an opposition and I know how a real opposition fights in parliament. Right now we see 5-6 parliamentary groups, each of which finds a reason to get angry and not support the other for a given vote of no confidence. When you set out to overthrow the government, you have to unite.“

“Let me ask the voters of the PP-DB what they will do now. In the early elections they will have to vote against Borisov and Peevski, and in the presidential elections - for the GERB candidate. Svilenski said this in response to Ivan Kostov's words, who admitted negotiations between PP-DB and GERB for a joint candidacy for the presidential elections, and added:

„I can't understand how long they will play with the nerves of Bulgarian society, because people are already on the streets – the protests are intensifying".
