Kostadin Kostadinov: It's time for disciplinary measures against the mentee MPs - 1

The chairman of the political party “Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov came out with sharp criticism of his colleagues in the National Assembly, accusing a large part of the MPs of systematic absence from work and lack of commitment to the legislative process.

In his publication, shared on July 25 on social networks, Kostadinov expresses his indignation at the empty parliamentary benches during sessions. He emphasizes that despite the frequent absence, MPs continue to receive their full salaries.

“I'm tired of looking at an empty parliamentary hall. "Deputies regularly do not go to work, but they regularly receive their salaries despite this," he points out.

As part of the party's proposals, "Vazrazhdane" will amend the parliament's rules of procedure, according to which if a deputy does not participate in at least two-thirds of the votes on a given day, he will not be entitled to a daily allowance - even if he registered for a quorum at the beginning of the session.

In his publication, Kostadinov refers to the absence of deputies from the coalitions "Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PPDB), the Alliance for Change and Justice (APS), as well as representatives of the "Majesty" party. According to him, only the deputies from "Vazrazhdane" were present and defended the interests of citizens during the evening session in parliament.

“Last night, once again, Mech, PPDB, APS and almost the entire Velichie were not in the parliamentary hall and once again only Vazrazhdane defended the interests of Bulgarian citizens“, he wrote.

The harshest words in his publication are directed at what he calls the “Peevski's poodle opposition“ and at the “mente-deputies“, which inflames additional tension in the already divided Bulgarian parliament.
