Hours after "Continuing the Change" began shedding light on the scandalous scheme of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet to sell off 4,400 state properties, the government backtracked and decided to stop the auctions and pass the ball to the National Assembly, which will decide which state properties to sell and which not.
This is written in an official position from "Continuing the Change", after it became clear that the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet will propose that the Program for the Exercise of Rights on Real Estate – State Property, and on Real Estate – Property of State Public Enterprises be approved by the National Assembly. We publish the position without editorial intervention:
"The question then arises why on the last day of the National Assembly's work before the vacation the ruling majority had to quickly and without a quorum adopt amendments to the State Property Law, which would give the green light for the mass sale of pieces of Bulgaria.

All signatures will be presented to the parliament in the first days after the vacation and we will submit a resolution to the National Assembly prohibiting the sale".
