The first official comment from our country after the meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska was made by our head of state. According to President Rumen Radev, the meeting restored dialogue and hope for peace. The head of state also responded to the criticism directed at him in recent days.
In addition to hope for peace through dialogue, Rumen Radev also predicted a metamorphosis among Bulgarian politicians and world leaders, who, in his words, have tried to impose peace through force. The head of state did not ignore the political passions and criticisms of the synchronization between him, “Continuing Change-Democracy Bulgaria” and “DPS-New Beginning”. According to Radev, “the authorities are orchestrating scandals to cover up their helplessness.”
The first comment on the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump came from the “Petrova Niva” area.
“The meeting in Alaska restored dialogue and all of our hope for peace. But here we are about to observe the metamorphoses, I suppose, of all those, including the Bulgarian rulers, who got bogged down in the naive persistence of imposing peace by force, without any account of the realities. I have long argued that this approach only leads to more destruction in Ukraine and more victims and loss of territories”, Radev pointed out.
He responded to GERB leader Boyko Borisov, who commented on Friday that the broken dialogue between “Dondukov” 1 and “Dondukov” 2 hinders the work of the ruling party, giving an example with the appointments of ambassadors, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Chairman of the State Agency for National Security.
“There really should be effective interaction and dialogue between the institutions, but it requires the government to emancipate itself from behind the scenes, not to legitimize it”, said the Bulgarian president.
The issue of interaction between the Council of Ministers and the Presidency on the topic of appointments was also laconically commented on by the Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova.
“The Constitution and laws have provided for joint competence on certain issues, and this has shown over the years with varying results that when there is political opposition, the powers also suffer”, believes Kiselova.
