Nearly 340 tons of waste were removed during a large-scale cleaning of the municipal enterprise (OP) "Chistota" in the Plovdiv neighborhood "Stolipinovo" in six days, the press center of the municipal administration announced.
During the campaign, in which specialized equipment was involved, unregulated dumps were removed from the streets „Prohlada“, „Batak“, „Krayna“, „Krayrechna“, „Vazkhod“, „Plamak“, „Varvara“ „Landos“, as well as in the areas around the market, „Pencho Slaveykov“ Primary School and „Naiden Gerov“ Secondary School, the director of the Municipal Enterprise „Chistota“ told BTA eng. Desislava Georgieva, quoted in the announcement.
„Cleaning the neighborhood is part of our regular efforts to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all Plovdiv residents“, said eng. Georgieva. She noted that maintaining cleanliness is a common responsibility and appealed to the people of „Stolipinovo“ to be more active in this direction.
„The municipal enterprise will continue to fulfill its commitments, but I also expect greater commitment from the residents of „Stolipinovo“ in protecting the environment. Only with cooperation and mutual respect can we achieve lasting change and keep the neighborhood clean and tidy“, added the director of the OP “Cleanliness“.
Last month, unregulated waste dumping was detected near the Plovdiv Ring Road in the land of the village of Belashtitsa, Rhodope Municipality.
