Stefan Marinov came across a gruesome find on the shore of Kara Dere. The bodies of 25 baby dolphins were dumped from the sea onto the beach. According to him, they became victims of entanglement in fishing nets, as there were marks on their bodies, reports dnes.dir.
According to him, an even more frightening moment is that the dolphins were decapitated.
He had never witnessed such a phenomenon before, but on the contrary - he had always been lucky enough to see dolphins hunting near the shore.
He and his friends were horrified by what happened. He tried to file a report with the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture, but was unsuccessful.
The press center of the Ministry of Environment and Waters announced that they are investigating the case based on Marinov's report. An inspection was carried out by the municipality of Byala, and the "National Service for Nature Protection" directorate was also notified.
