From 10 p.m. on August 25 (Monday) to 6 a.m. on August 26 (Tuesday) traffic in the tunnel to Varna will be stopped, bTV reported.
During the works, those traveling to Varna will be redirected from the 30th km of the motorway at the "Vitinska Reka" junction on road I-1 Sofia - Botevgrad and road II-17 and will continue along the motorway at the "Botevgrad" substation, the Bulgarian Road Administration announced.
On the night of August 27 (Wednesday) from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on August 28 (Thursday), traffic in the tunnel to Sofia will be restricted. The bypass route towards the capital will be from the “Botevgrad“ substation along road II-17 and road I-1 Sofia – Botevgrad and will continue along the highway at the “Vitinska Reka“ substation.
The activities will be carried out at night, when traffic is lighter and in order not to hinder the travel of citizens.
The “Road Infrastructure“ Agency appeals to drivers to drive carefully, to observe traffic rules and the speed limit, and not to undertake risky overtaking that endangers the safety of all other travelers.
