The plots near the metro stations in Sofia have long been built up, and the apartments have been sold out. Quite a few buyers have acquired properties in these key locations with the aim of renting them out. Nearly 900 are the number of 2-room apartments that are currently for rent, located near the metro stations in Sofia, according to data from the largest real estate website imot.bg.

The cheapest two-room apartments can be rented around the “Lyulin“ metro station - the average price of 465 EUR. The apartments offered are mostly old construction and not so well furnished. They are cheaper only near the "NBU" metro station, but there are very few offers there and they are mostly old buildings – 375 EUR.

Around 500 EUR is the average monthly rent near metro stations „Obelya“, „Slivnitsa“, „Mladost III“, „Druzhba“, „Lomsko Shosse“, „Beli Dunav“, „Nadezhda“, „Knyaginya Maria Luiza“, „Central Station“.

In the price range between 550 and 600 EUR for a monthly rent of a 2-room apartment, metro stations such as „Vardar“, „Opalchenska“, „Musagenitsa“, „Mladost I“ and “Mladost III“, “Balan“, “European Union“ and “Krasno Selo“.

The most expensive properties remain around the metro stations in the center of Sofia. In the area of “St. Patriarch Evtimiy“ station, the average monthly rent is 775 EUR. It is about 25 EUR cheaper in the area of “SU St. Kliment Ohridski“ station. There is a fairly large selection of 2-room apartments around the “NDK“ metro station, where the average asking price is 765 EUR.

Regarding the intensity of supply, it is strongest around the “European Union“ and “James Boucher“ metro stations – nearly 150 properties. This is not a surprise, considering the overdevelopment of the neighborhood and the fact that people buy there mainly for investment purposes, say brokers. There is also a larger selection around the metro station “G.M. Dimitrov“ - about 30 properties. In the area of “Vardar“ and “Opalchenska“ about 25 two-room apartments are offered.
