A woman from Vratsa became another victim of severe domestic violence by her second husband. Despite the divorce and a restraining order against the man, the victim suffered a brutal attack that left her in critical condition in hospital, police said.
The attack was not only physical, but also mental. It went on for hours. The victim is currently in hospital, unable to get out of bed after an emergency operation that saved her life.
„My daughter is in terrible pain, bedridden, with a catheter, a drain and in diapers. He can't even eat. The operation was decisive for her survival, said the victim's mother, who remains anonymous because of threats to her.
The attack took place after the perpetrator visited the store where his wife worked, trying to intimidate her. Despite her efforts to secure herself and call for help, the situation escalated when she returned home to find him waiting for her.
What followed was a terrifying six-hour ordeal in which the man tortured her, threatening her life and the well-being of her entire family, before finally leaving.
In a desperate attempt to get help, the victim manages to contact someone via an old phone, despite her injuries and the fact that her attacker has destroyed her main means of communication.
This incident is not an isolated case of domestic violence, but highlights the ongoing threats and intimidation faced by the victim and her family. The family is now advocating for the harshest possible punishment for the perpetrator, hoping for justice and preventing further violence.
