A drunk driver caused an accident on the Smolyan - Madan road, near the junction for the village of Srednogortsi, reported BTA the police spokesperson Elena Stoilova.
In the road accident "Fiat“ with Sofia registration, driven by a 52-year-old driver, enters the oncoming lane and hits an "Opel Astra" with Smolyan registration, managed by a 46-year-old woman from the village of Turan. She was slightly injured, said Stoilova.
The driver of the "Fiat" was tested for alcohol and the breathalyzer reported 2.91 per million of alcohol. An on-site inspection was carried out by criminologists and criminal proceedings were initiated.
