At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas, a remand measure was taken “detention“ in relation to a Bulgarian citizen. A European Arrest Warrant has been issued against her, issued by the prosecutor's office and confirmed by the court in the Greek city of Katerini. She is wanted by the Greek authorities for human trafficking, Nova TV reports.
According to the received European Arrest Warrant, the Bulgarian woman mediated for a fee the adoption of a total of 17 children born in a hospital in Kateryni. The crimes were committed in the period from October 2013 to 2015.
The Bulgarian woman was found and detained during a police check at an address in Kameno, Burgas. The decision of the District Court in Burgas can be appealed to the Court of Appeal in the city.
