He added that the necessary organization was immediately created to preserve the scene of the accident and conduct all procedural and investigative actions to preserve and collect the necessary evidence. "Coming to the scene the head of sector "Special tactical actions" informed me that this afternoon, after the completion of official duties and the training sessions held in the afternoon hours of the "Special Tactical Actions" sector, the employees were directed to the premises of the building, which are designated for rest and storage of personal belongings, where he was and the son of one of the sector's employees. Most of the officers were in the debriefing room and heard a gunshot. Walking out into the lobby, they notice their colleague's child holding a gun. They came into contact with him, calmly seized the gun, neutralized it and informed the management, and on the spot they found a gunshot wound to the colleague, which led to a fatal outcome", Georgi Chergov also reported.
He assured that all possible procedural and investigative actions have been carried out under the supervision of a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor's Office and their analysis will continue within the framework of the already opened investigative case. All employees of the territory of the specialized police force (SPS) have been identified and will be questioned, and a large number of them have already given evidence about the facts and circumstances they perceived.
"As for gaps in the activity - all this will be subject to a disciplinary check, which I have already ordered by my order and which will aim to clarify whether there are any gaps in the activities of the employees, what they express, who they are the specific persons who have committed a violation, if there are any, and respectively the necessary actions will be taken to realize the respective responsibility", Senior Commissioner Georgi Cherkov also commented. At this stage, he refused to give details about the murder weapon, as it is the subject of the investigation.

I have familiarized him with the entire factual situation. Yes, we also commented on the issue of my position. I want you to know that I have never been afraid to take responsibility. The Minister of the Interior will be on the territory of the Directorate tomorrow. I am ready to take responsibility as needed and as the management deems. They will decide what is best for the directorate, for the employees who stand behind me," said Georgi Chergov.
