41 people have been detained so far for violations of the election legislation. This became clear during a briefing by the Ministry of the Interior on the actions against vote buying in the country. So far, 157 specialized operations have been carried out, and 76 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. There have been 345 reports of violations of the electoral legislation.
The Ministry of the Interior specified that this morning the Ministry of the Interior is conducting specialized actions in Ruse, Sliven and Pazardzhik, with the participation of criminal, economic and traffic police officers.
During the action in Sliven, 4 people were detained, 4 pre-trial proceedings were initiated on suspicion of vote trading.
„Notebooks with written names and sums of money were seized from commercial establishments in Sliven districts. A vote-buying signal is being checked in Slivensko selo. It concerns the offering of amounts of 60 BGN each, explained the Ministry of the Interior.
In Ruse, 8 signals related to violation of the electoral legislation are being checked. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated against two of them.
„In Pazardzhik, checks are carried out in pawnshops, private addresses, commercial establishments, public places and drinking establishments. Vote-buying signals are also being checked," the Ministry of Internal Affairs also said.
