Agreement for a six month suspended sentence with three years probation concluded the father who persuaded his minor son to drive drunk and without a license in Plovdiv.
The agreement between the accused N.A. and the prosecution was approved by judge Spasimir Zdravchev during today's court session, BTA reported.
On October 27, 41-year-old N.A. and his 16-year-old son were at a wedding party. Because the father was intoxicated, he convinced the boy to drive his car so they could go home.
The 16-year-old boy had also consumed alcohol, but agreed to drive his father's car.
When driving along “Maritsa“ in Plovdiv, a patrol police car gave a light and sound signal to stop.
The underage driver did not obey and continued to drive on “Tsarigradsko shosse” Blvd. and "Liberation" Blvd. in the city. The whole time he was being chased by the police.
During the movement, the 16-year-old driver developed a speed of up to about 170 km/h, failing to stop in several places and running red lights.
The passenger car was stopped on “H.G. Pavlov“ and the driver got off it. There, the 16-year-old driver was tested with a breathalyzer, who measured 1.07 parts per million of alcohol in his blood.
