A 28-year-old Syrian man, who was detained during an operation against illegal migrant trafficking, escaped from a hospital in Burgas, Nova TV reported.
After his detention, he attempted suicide in prison. On Sunday morning, he felt unwell. The man was taken to the psychiatric hospital in Burgas, where, however, they refused to admit him. He was then taken for examination to the University Hospital in Burgas, from where the Syrian man escaped.
The arrestee was detained in early December, when the National Security Agency and the “Border Police” dismantled one of the largest criminal organizations related to migrant trafficking in the country. The 28-year-old fugitive was a driver for illegal migrants.
