The court is again considering the permanent detention of the director of the customs in Plovdiv, Miroslav Belyashki, NOVA reported.
The measure was issued on May 1, but has been appealed.
Belyashki was detained during a special operation by the Commission for Combating Corruption in the city under the hills. Searches were carried out in the director's office, his home and the administration.
Heavily armed officers of the Directorate of Anti-Corruption and the Gendarmerie blocked all entrances and exits of the "Customs" agency in Plovdiv. The charge against Miroslav Belyashki is a crime in office. According to the court, there is no danger that he will abscond, but there is a danger of committing another crime.
