The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office has initiated pre-trial proceedings in connection with reports regarding unregulated races between cars, containing suspicions of a committed intentional crime of a general nature.
On 25.08.2025, materials from an inspection of employees in the “Traffic Police“ Department at the SDVR were reported to the SRP. After analyzing the materials, on the same day, by a decree of the supervising prosecutor, criminal proceedings were initiated for the fact that on 08.08.2025 at around 21.00 in the city of Sofia, on ul. “Okolovrasten pat“ in a road section from the village of German to the residential area “Mladost“, while driving a motor vehicle, indecent acts were committed, grossly violating public order and expressing clear disrespect for society – a crime under Art. 325, para. 3 in conjunction with para. 1 of the Criminal Code.
The investigation has been assigned to the State Directorate of Internal Affairs, and it has been instructed to include relevant documents, question witnesses, prepare an expert report and other procedural and investigative actions.
