Actor Kaloyan Zhelev with yet another great recognition

He was awarded for high creative results and contribution to Bulgarian culture and on the occasion of May 24 for his participation in the play "A Strange Incident with a Dog in the Night"

Another recognition was received by DT "Sava Ognyanov“ from the Ministry of Culture on the eve of May 24, reported plovdiv24.bg.

The Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov presented a diploma to the actor Kaloyan Zhelev for high creative results and contribution to Bulgarian culture and on the occasion of May 24 – Day of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture, and of Slavic literature.

Kaloyan Zhelev receives his award for participation in the show "Strange incident with a dog at night". with director Boyan Ivanov, production of DT "Sava Ognyanov” Ruse.

"Thanks to the Ministry of Culture for the award. Such appeals prove to us that touching the theater is important and should not be neglected. The job of a creator is to inspire, touch and change people for the better and I plan to continue because I believe it makes sense! Of course, all this would have been impossible without DT "Sava Ognyanov” Ruse, Boyan Ivanov and the wonderful colleagues who take part in the show”, Kaloyan Zhelev said upon receiving the diploma.

The young actor won the "ICAR“ 2024 for debut, for the role of Christopher Boone in "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”, as well as a nomination for "ASQUEER” 2024, again for a debut in the production of the novel by Mark Haddon.

This is another recognition from the team of the Ministry of Culture in support of young talents and the innovative approach of DT "Sava Ognyanov” Ruse, during the realization of "Strange incident with a dog in the night”. The premiere of "The Puppet from the Pushed Island" did not go unnoticed by the Ministry of Culture. directed by Prof. Plamen Markov.
