"This place, in addition to feeling very much mine, I feel very calm, I have long conversations with the archimandrite. We talk about everything with him, as well as with Sister Seraphim. It's very invigorating. Prayer for me is a sacrament, it is something very personal. I would never share it out loud, it's always different, but I always end with "Amen". This is a place where I feel very small and where my faith grows", added Petrova.
She herself believes in people.
"Humanity is a little on the edge of its survival and is heading for its total destruction, perhaps to create a new man to teach us to live, believe and love again. Everything that is happening on a global scale speaks of us forgetting about the person opposite us. What is happening in social networks speaks of a great loneliness of people. This is a deficit of attention and love on a global scale," commented the actress.
In her words, we need people who are visionaries and have overcome their egos.
"The devil pushes and wants his own, he is uncompromising. He is merciless, he brings you to your knees. This has to stop. Something we lack is innocence. We are greedy and mean, we are cruel to each other, it is on every level - in art, in politics, in education. There will be no salvation for man if he continues in this spirit. The most difficult thing is to find a person who will be happy about your success", added Elena Petrova.
