Retro cars floated in the canals of Amsterdam, reported “Reuters”, quoted by NOVA.
The car owners decided to put their cars in the water, as from 2025 they will no longer be allowed in the city due to the new environmental regulation.
„Of course, everyone has to think about the environment and we understand that, but it's a shame we can't just make these cars electric,” says Dutch participant Onno den Boer.
Every year enthusiasts from several European countries gather to drive together for a week. This year, it was the turn of the Netherlands to organize the opportunity for drivers to sail their cars in Amsterdam's famous canals for the last time.
About a hundred owners of vintage cars gathered at the place, who will part with their vehicles.
