The term "organoid intelligence" – AI means intelligence from human brain cells, which are elements of neural networks, she explained. "Stem cells from human brain are attached to neural networks – organoids, and some type of synthetic intelligence is being sought. It is an artificial intelligence with neural networks, which, however, works with human cells instead of processors and chips,“ explained Prof. Todorova.

The experiment aims to create artificial intelligence through brain cells and neural networks. "The characteristics of speed and processing of huge information are preserved, but with human brain cells to contribute to the ability to predict and save energy," added the futurologist.

The challenges facing scientists are many. Organoids are not sustainable, they hardly feed, and silicon hardly comes into contact with biological matter, Mariana Todorova pointed out. But the biggest problem remains the moral and ethical dimension.
