Three months ago, 14 couples began a dizzying race on land, air and water to the “hidden treasure“ in the second season of the bTV reality competition “Escape to Victory“.
They went through more than 100 tests, relying on their physical, mental and mental abilities, on their dexterity and good orientation, as well as on the help of the people they met on their way.
Three couples reached the finals, who proved to be the most adaptable, resourceful and persistent, with unwavering harmony between them and a dose of luck at the right moment. After several thousand kilometers traveled across three countries, the “Actors“, “Pharmacists“ and “Barmaids“ got the chance to fight for the treasure in the final of the exciting competition on bTV.
At the beginning of the decisive day of the competition, the finalist pairs had to reach the Cultural and Historical Complex dedicated to the Bulgarian Alphabet in Pliska, where they were greeted with signs with the names of all the administrative districts in Bulgaria, as well as photos of the 14 pairs in the second season of “Escape to Victory”. They had to indicate where the final of each stage took place, as well as which teams had won and respectively been eliminated in each of the weeks so far, and in chronological order. The next challenge for the participants was to dictate to each other three fragments of the Bitola inscription from the time of John Vladislav while jumping on a ski jump.
On the way to victory, the teams had to connect 10 mountain peaks in Bulgaria with their exact height in meters and the mountain they were on, in the “company” of a real live snake around their neck. The pair that was eliminated first meters from the final was that of the “Barmaids” – Vicky and Tony. “Pharmacists” and the “Actors“, who received the last piece of the map, had to figure out how to read it, and the guide gave them a short text in Glagolitic, which they had to translate and write down with ink and quill.
After an extremely competitive battle, the pair that first managed to find the exact location of the buried chest with the “hidden treasure“ was that of the “Pharmacists“ – Ivan and Nikolay. The two grabbed the grand prize of 100 thousand leva, leaving the “Actors“ Theodor and Presiyan in second place in the final race.
“Luck was with us! Our goal was victory all the time. We went through many trials during the show and we think we did very well. "We both have two children and we had to be an example for them," the winners of "Escape to Victory" 2 shared after completing their dizzying adventure.
