Has Dzhevdjet Chakarov returned to the MRF, to the place where he belongs. We heard Delyan Peevski say this, after it is now clear that the brand “MPS“ remains on the side of the MRF – A new beginning. Why doesn't Ahmed Dogan speak… Journalist Mehmed Yumer commented on the topic in front of FACT.

- Mr. Yumer, is it now clear who owns the MRF after the recent events we have witnessed?
- Already, yes. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms – the authentic MRF, in the form in which we knew it, is in history. The big MRF is no more, it is already in history.

- What do we have today?
- After this big process of opposition started - I will not quote well-known facts from the last year, it was clear to everyone that a process of division had begun in the party. This did not resemble the earlier splits from the MRF. The previous ones were clones - in this sense, they fit into this paragraph. Now we had and have a new kind of division, because the leader with whom the party was personified and identified - we are talking about Ahmed Dogan, who is also considered the founder of the MRF, for the big MRF, is no more. There is now the Movement for Rights and Freedoms - New Beginning. We have every reason to claim that the big MRF is in history. And this is precisely because of the fact that the leader and the party remained in two different wings. Now, with this handshake between Mr. Chakarov and Mr. Peevski, in his capacity as one of the co-chairs of the MRF, things are over. But let's not forget that the two were proposed by Dogan... Right. Now, with Chakarov going to Peevski, there is now only one MRF. MRF – New Beginning is the biggest fragment, because the other one, which remained on a symbolic level with Ahmed Dogan, is the smaller fragment. If I may put it that way. With the unification of the two co-chairs, with the withdrawal of the appeal for the challenge in court, Delyan Peevski emerged as the sole chairman of the MRF. Now with the abbreviation “New Beginning“.

- How do you view this action of Dzhevdzhet Chakarov – his personal decision or is there something that remains hidden and unexplained…
- In recent days, a lot of things have been written and commented on in the media about Mr. Chakarov's son. But I would like to emphasize that my comment is based on knowing the party through the eyes of the people, because I know the emotion of the MRF over the years, because I have witnessed all these sentiments from the emergence of the MRF to this day. I do not feel sure to say for what reason Chakarov made this turn. The fact is that we have an action and some result that shocked the Doganist wing itself very much.

- Why don't we see Ahmed Dogan. Why is he not active, why doesn't he come out to the public, why doesn't he speak…
- This is a very key question that I am also asking. I am also asking this question. Ahmed Dogan should speak, give his opinion on the topic. Otherwise, we are used to the development of his philosophical theses, but this time the situation with him is really very urgent.

- And he does not take the floor…
- We will see. Another interesting thing is. Is this action of Dzhevjet Chakarov done with the knowledge of Ahmed Dogan or not. All these questions have been thrown into the public space about the relations between Mr. Chakarov and Mr. Dogan. In general, everything that remains hanging in the air makes us only guess why Ahmed Dogan is silent.

- And have we somehow not gotten used to his silence over the years?
- We got used to his epistolary way of communicating, but does this work now? Maybe he has gotten used to it over the years from the position of honorary chairman, but at this stage we see how his wing - especially the youth wing, insists on his return as an operational leader. I don't think he can do it. From here on out - because I've said it before, that over the last year, Ahmed Dogan's decisions have not kept up with the times, we'll see what he does. If before - I'm talking at the beginning, during the strong period of the MRF, we were used to commenting on Ahmed Dogan's policy as a leader who foresees several moves forward, now... He's simply lagging behind his time, because we see that these are not very timely reactions on his part. For example, with the proposal to expel Mr. Peevski from the party. Apparently, Dogan made a short-sighted decision and now we see how everything has developed to his detriment.

- Should we understand that Ahmed Dogan has been outplayed...
- Or has he overestimated himself.

- How reasonable and how effective will the option that is being discussed, that the people around Dogan will create a new party, be? What success would she have if he remained silent? Is Dogan's halo alone enough?
- The option for a new formation is inevitable for Dogan's wing. But here comes the question of what political figures they will make the new party with... If they again rely on "old faces" in politics, so to speak, people who have a worn-out image, they will not be successful. That is why they started playing on some ethno-national chord with this declaration, read by the DPS-DPS, which again talks about the commemorative rallies. The goal is clear, that they want to harden and consolidate their electorate. But they are making people remember things that the people themselves do not even want to remember anymore. People want time to have healed these old wounds. Somehow tearing the crust off old wounds is not the best suggestion today. It also shows that in an ideological aspect, the people around Dogan are somehow no longer adequate to their time, their messages are dying out.
