Bulgarian financier Kiril Evtimov was among the guests at the Emirates Stadium in London for the friendly match between Brazil and Senegal, in which the five-time world champions won 2:0.
After the match, Evtimov met with several curious individuals from the Seleção group. One of them was the current coordinator of the Brazilian national team, Juan. After finding out that his interlocutor was from Bulgaria, the two-time Copa America winner and two-time Confederations Cup winner asked about his former teammate Dimitar Berbatov.
“Dimitar was a great footballer. I take this opportunity to congratulate him“, the former Bayer Leverkusen and Roma player told Evtimov.
After the match in London, the popular Neftohimik fan was able to briefly meet Chelsea's young star Estevao, who scored the first goal for Brazil's victory.
Another curious figure that Kiril Evtimov has come across is Claudio Taffarel. The 1994 world champion is currently the goalkeeper coach in Carlo Ancelotti's staff at the “Seleção“.
The 59-year-old former goalkeeper has known Evtimov since their meeting in London in the fall of 2024.
