Dushan Kerkez wants Reds winger Mohamed Brahimi in Atromitos - 1

Former CSKA coach Dushan Kerkez shows serious interest in the "Reds" winger Mohamed Brahimi, reports "Mach Telegraf".

The two know each other well from their joint work in Botev (Plovdiv) and at "Army", and now the specialist who leads Atromitos is monitoring the situation surrounding the Frenchman of Algerian origin.

Brahimi's contract with CSKA expires in the summer and at the moment it is unclear whether it will be renewed, which makes the player an appetizing target for foreign clubs.

The curious thing is that in the fall the winger was out of Hristo Yanev's calculations and even ended up on the "black list", but after a strong winter preparation he won a starting place.

However, he did not start in the last match against Dobrudzha, which further strengthens the doubts about his future at "Bulgarian Army".

Kerkez is also monitoring another player from the First League - Botev (Plovdiv) left-back Konstantinos Baloyannis, whose contract also expires in the summer and will almost certainly not be renewed.

Atromitos is currently in the bottom half of the table in Greece and will fight to avoid participating in the survival playoffs until the end of the season.

CSKA head coach Hristo Yanev will resort to juniors to ensure a normal training process and fill the group for the control match with Oborishte (Panagyurishte) on Friday.

The reason is the serious absence of as many as eight national players from the first team, which significantly limits the options for the coach, writes "Tema Sport".

At the same time, the backup team of the "Reds", led by Valentin Iliev, also has a busy schedule with matches against Dunav (Ruse) and Etar, and the third team is visiting Botev (Ihtiman).

Among those called up to the national teams are Teodor Ivanov and Ivan Turitsov (Bulgaria), Petko Panayotov (Bulgaria U21), Fyodor Lapukhov and Max Ebong (Belarus), Ioannis Pitas (Cyprus), Lumbard Delova (Kosovo) and Isak Sole (CAR).

After the victory over Dobrudzha, Hristo Yanev admitted that he will work with a limited squad, which opens the door for young talents from the school to perform.
