Victoria Tsvetanova was elected vice-president of the Badminton World Federation, which unites 203 national federations. The decision was made during the organization's Congress held in Horsens, Denmark. Tsvetanova's candidacy, nominated by the Bulgarian Badminton Federation, received broad support from delegates. The election took place in the presence of the president of the world headquarters Kuning Patama Lisvadtrakul, who is also a member of the International Olympic Committee, BTA reports.
The Bulgarian federation described the success as a significant achievement, emphasizing that Tsvetanova is now among the highest-ranking Bulgarian women in the management of international sports organizations.
Victoria Tsvetanova is the daughter of Orlin Tsvetanov (Petya Nedelcheva's coach) and Diana Koleva-Tsvetanova, who represented Bulgaria at the Olympic Games in 1992, 1996 and 2000.
