The Bulgarian duo Stefani Stoeva and Gabriela Stoeva started with doubles victory at the European Badminton Championship, Focus reported.
The competition takes place in the German city of Saarbrücken and is the last qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris.
Stoevi, who are three-time number 1 in the Old Continent, rested at the start, and in the second round they won against the Spaniards Paula Lopez and Lucia Rodriguez with 21:15, 21:8 in 32 minutes.
With the victory, the No. 3 seeds in the main draw reached the quarterfinals. There, the Bulgarian women will play the winners between Linda Effler/Isabel Lochau (Germany) and Serena Au Yeon/Katarina Hochmeier (Austria).
