May 20 is the deadline by which the home barbell federation must pay the fees to the International Headquarters (IWF) for carrying out doping control of the European Championship in Sofia, reports “Mach Telegraf”. The amount is about 36,000 euros and if it is not paid by May 20, they will throw our weightlifters out of the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, which will be an incredible scandal.
In principle, the fee was supposed to be paid already at the end of last month, but the president Andon Kojabashev managed to get a postponement until May 20.
Kojabashev is currently looking for sponsors to pay the amount, as the federation does not have funding from the Ministry of Youth and Sports due to its huge debts.
